Bios – or biographies – are a very useful way to tell others about yourself. Belly dancers add them to their web sites, pass them to the MC at events, place them on their resume (also called a Curriculum Vitae, CV, personal synopsis, track record, work history, vita…. ) and provide them to event hosts to help promote workshops or performances. A great bio can make you appear polished and professional. The problem is that most of us struggle to write about ourselves and navigate the fine line between impressive and boastful.
