Setting up an Event on Facebook
A step by step guild to using the "Events" feature to advertise for free !
Facebook is a fantastic tool for promoting belly dance events. It gives you easy access to potential customers, a virtual flyer and a place to keep everyone up to date, answer questions and post daily teasers.
Do it right and you will fill your classes, put bums on seats at your shows and connect with your dance community. Do it wrong and you can find your audience disengaging, or even annoyed.
This lesson is laid out so you can use it in one of two ways. You can simply read along and pick up a few tips if you already use Facebook to promote your events. If you have never used Facebook in this way, then please follow along step by step – create a fictitious event, share it with a handful of your friends and look to get feedback so you can make improvements before using you new skills for an upcoming event.
