"Doing" Belly Dance History

Mindset • Research • Methods • Sources • Process

"Doing" Belly Dance History is a hard-core nuts-and-bolts discussion of my mindset, methods, and the tools I use for conducting interdisciplinary research on belly dance history. From formulating Mission Statements and Key Inquiry Questions to how I find, sort, store and annotate my database of images. I'm going to be sharing my favorite digital archives, my research workflow, and the historical methods and models I use to analyze and evaluate visual and printed documentation.

If you ever use the term "Belly Dance Nerd" or "History Geek" to refer to yourself, then you will enjoy this talk.

This seminar will be presented live on Saturday, March 27, at 2:00 pm Pacific - This 90-minute talk includes an eBook study guide and if you attend live, Q&A session too! The edited class will be available after April 15.
